Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling and BJJ before making her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout as a bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability was able to take down McGill as she managed to finish her third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina, and ground-and - pounded her for an TKO victory in the second round. When she next faced Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the opening round. She also received the bonus for performance of evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's had in a major role. Ladd won the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. For a rematch she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was a unanimous decision.
